Medical Costs

The one constant in rescuing animals is the love we have for all of the animals. The second constant is they ALL incur medical costs. The most common medical costs are vaccinations and spaying or neutering. However, most of the animals come from broken situations where they did not receive the best care. Which can result in a myriad of common medical conditions. Such as :

  • pregnancy
  • eye & ear infections
  • URI’s (upper respiratory infections),
  • bacteria and fungal skin conditions
  •  heartworm positive
  • FIV (Feline immunodeficiency virus)
  • upset stomach

We also run into situations where animals need extensive medical care before they can be adopted. Such as:

  • Mega E,
  • broken bones coupled with physical therapy
  • Amputations coupled with physical therapy
  • Parvo
  • untreated diabetes
  • biopsies and removal of growths and lumps
  • Gastroenteritis
  • UTIs (urinary tract infections)
  • IVDD, or Intervertebral Disc Disease

These are some of the medical occurrences that we have covered for animals in the past.  In most cases, we have raised 90% of the money required for a particular procedure through individual fundraising efforts.  However, this limits our reach to some animals, because we need to secure the funds first.  Our new fundraising efforts will allow us to intake more animals with medical needs with your help.

CFP would like you to have the option of:

  • Giving to a specific animal’s medical case,
  • fund the fixed* costs of individual treatments such as heartworm treatments and Spay or neuter

And all of these can be done as a one-time gift or on a monthly recurring basis.

By personally giving to an animal’s medical needs you are helping where the need is greatest! These animals deserve a second shot at happiness!
